Our business has and continues to expand quickly, from a starting team of four in 2009; we quickly secured contracts to fund the expansion of a highly qualified tiered customer helpdesk and to grow our mobile support engineer team. Unitec IT Solutions currently employees eight fulltime members of staff. We have also heavily invested in employee training to ensure the highest level of expertise in Telecommunications, Virtualisation, Data Storage and Security, Remote working and Desktop Management. The business has grown steadily since launching in 2009, securing contracts with Kilkenny County Council, South Tipperary County Council and Waterford City Council, along with multi-national businesses such as Sepam and Medite Europe, and SME’s across a multitude of industries. We were also proud to be shortlisted for an ICT Excellence Award (2010) for our successful IT fit-out project for the Theatre Royal, Waterford.

Unitec has proven to be a company that has grown and developed from the belief that stifled ideas in other, traditional company’s can be embraced by customers, employees and the business owner to increase the productivity and competitiveness of Irish company’s and to grow a new business during a recession.

Winning the ICT Excellence Award will enforce our belief that our approach in using the best technologies from around the world, and to engage and support customers to believe that technology is still a vital area of expense during these difficult times was the correct approach to take.
